Problem with the Trillian opening
Hi, I have recently updated with the Windows vista form the windows xp which i was using before for my system. But the problem is that whenever i use the Tillian it opens in the internet explore instead of the Mozilla Firefox. I have already set the Mozilla Firefox as the default browser. And it work proper with all other services. Can any one help me regarding the same. Thank you

Hey, It is very simple all you have to do is that just start the trillian preferences and the go to the Text conversation and than click on it. A dialog box will appear with the lots of the checkbox option just unchecked the open link in new browser window. And it is done now it will open in the default browser. It is the built in mechanism of the trillian which is having the compatibility issue with the vista OS . Thank you

Hey, I don't know but i might help you to resolve your issue regarding the same and can be helpful. So try this out and see whether it is working or not. Just Download the fresh version of the Trillian copy and make fresh install by installing the fresh copy. but first remove the older version first from your computer and then use the fresh one. Hey there, I have seen that Trillian has lots of the compatibility issue with the Vista. So i found the solution for that and i am posting the same for you because i am having the problem with the same and i got the solution by doing the following. So just give a try with it. First uninstall the Trillian from the system and reinstall the complete once again using the different path i.e C instead of the C:\programfiles. It works with me and see that it is working with you or not.Thanks

Hey, I think that your Firebox is not set as default properly as your browser preference so that it is always opening in the internet explorer. Just uninstall the Firefox completely form your system and reinstall it using the fresh copy and then after installation set it as the default browser and see that it is working or not. Thats It!!!!!!!!!

Hey, Thank brother i am having the same problem and that is sorted out with your solution. I have used the this Trillian Preferences -> Text Conversations and then unchecked the "open links in a new browser window" and its done. So you also try the same. Once again thanks a lot.
