Shutter a screen capture tool for linux
Shutter is an application that allows you to make, manage and store screenshots. One may ask, what is the need for a separate application, so that we can easily take screenshots using print-screen. Shutter is a huge improvement over this approach, Shutter offers a number of important features and improvements.
Shutter offer five screenshots you can choose with a new file, these options are:
1) Selection: This option allows you to take screenshots of a particular section of the screen.
2) Full screen: As its name suggests allows you to take screenshots of the entire screen.
3) Window: This option allows you to take screenshots of a particular window.
4) Element: section allows you to take screenshots of a portion of a window or screen.
5) Internet: This is probably the best option, this option allows you to type a URL and shutter is a screenshot of the web-page.
Once you've taken screenshot, you can do basic editing of the screen shot using shutter Drawing Tool. It has indeed a number of simple tools like pencil, eraser, rectangle, ellipse, text etc. It is also possible to launch other applications from shutter, such as Gimp. Shutter comes with a number of plug-ins that will allow you to add multiple effects to your screen shots as grayscale, pdf export, sepia etc. Shutter also allows you to upload your images on photo sharing online as imageshack.
Conclusion :
The desktop application may be extremely useful for people like me who spend a lot of time taking screenshots of application. Shutter is extremely easy and friendly should prove extremely useful for all bloggers using Linux.

Hi
Really Shutter is a great tool for screen capturing. It provides a really handy upgrade from the built-in GNOME screen grabber. It can also send your images to editors. It can send the files to FTP or hosting sites. Auto thumb-nailing is also a major feature. Shutter was formerly known as GScrot. I like it, just give it a try.
